EIP-SCC General Assembly 2017
Today, more than three hundert experts came together at the General Assembly of the EIP-SCC: "Towards a Joint Investment Programme for Smart Cities" in Brussels.
The ambition fo the conference is to increase the extent to which the Marketplace provides an effective matchmaking function - bringing cities, industry, and investors together - and the General Assembly plays a central role in reinforcing this strategy.
"Towards a Joint Investment Programme for Smart Cities" summarises the goal for the General Assembly: to stimulate scale deployment of digital solutions in all sectors involved in the Marketplace.
EU Commissioner Violetta Bulc, DG MOVE, reported on the continuous support of the EC for Smart Communities including Smart Cities and Smart Villages. She announced a clean bus financing initiative and encouraged to use the different funding and financing instruments.
[ui!] The urban institute is in charge of the Action Cluster „Sustainable Urban Mobility“. Lutz Heuser, CEO of [ui!], and Commissioner Bulc discusses the vision of urban mobility and the strategy of the Action Cluster focusing on „urban mobility data“. This is very much in line with our core products [ui!] UrbanPulse, [ui!] CROSSFLEET, and [ui!] TRAFFIC.
