ITS Hamburg starts with projects by [ui!]
The ITS World Congress 2021, the world's largest congress on the topics of smart mobility and digitalization in transportation, starts today in Hamburg. Over the next 5 days, alternatives for transporting people and materials in a climate- and resource-friendly way will be presented on the exhibition grounds and throughout the city.
For this purpose, different transport and mobility projects of the future were prepared for the ITS Congress. Together with other companies, the [ui!] group has worked in various teams to find solutions to current problems in the areas of mobility and logistics, and has sought smart solutions, the results of which will be on display in Hamburg. These include in particular the projects OptiPark and UbiSeMo.
Projekt 1: OptiPark
One of the largest projects here is certainly the Mobility Data Space, supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and organized by the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) as a marketplace for mobility data for all those who want to shape the future of mobility. One of the participating companies in this data sharing community is [ui!], which will present the "OptiPark" project in this context at the BMVI booth (Hall B4, EG141).
For this purpose, there will be a presentation round of all projects of the Mobility Data Space Community on Tuesday, 12/10 at the stand of the BMVI. Prof. Dr. Dr. e.h. Lutz Heuser (CEO, [ui!]) will give a detailed presentation on the parking management system "OptiPark" for commuters and tourists, which has been implemented in cooperation with the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region - to optimize the search for parking spaces in P+R parking lots - and will be available to answer questions.

Projekt 2: UbiSeMo
Another project initiated especially for the ITS World Congress is the Reallabor Hamburg (RealLabHH), which is based on an initiative of the National Platform Future of Mobility (NPM). In eleven sub-projects, topics ranging from mobility budgets instead of company cars to the creation of a provider-independent mobility platform and solutions for particularly vulnerable participants in road traffic are presented under the consortium leadership of Hamburger Hochbahn. The special feature here is that the sub-projects are not only presented in the exhibition halls, but can also be experienced on a demo tour.
Among other things, the demonstrator for intermodal travel "UbiSeMo" developed jointly by [ui!] and Telekom IoT will be on display. Here, all mobility services are bundled and networked in a single application. Users benefit from a central app as a clear starting point for trip planning and booking. This creates flexible and personalized mobility from the beginning to the end of the trip, opening up options beyond private motorized transport and thus reducing CO 2 emissions. In addition, thanks to the open European standard, providers can share their data securely and integrate it cost-effectively into their apps.
Why not have our expert colleagues explain the UbiSeMo app to you or take a demo tour with us at the Deutsche Telekom IoT stand (Hall B2-EG-04)?
